Si le mystère de la recette de The Kraken reste précieusement gardée par la bête, les écrits relatent malgré tout d’une élaboration à base de rhum de mélasse des Caraïbes, associé à une sélection d’épices, telles que la cannelle, le gingembre, la vanille ou encore de clou de girofle.
Au nez, c’est d’abord une explosion de vanille qui se poursuit sur des notes d’épices et de muscade. En bouche, si la vanille reste prépondérante, le clou de girofle et la cannelle font leur apparition.
